Watersafety - Who's looking out for you?
 



Victoria's wonderful coastline, lakes and river system, coupled with a warm climate, make water-based activities extremely popular right across the State. This summer everyone can play a role in providing a safer aquatic environment.

This website contains water safety information to assist you be safe at the beach, at the river, by the pool and while boating and fishing. It offers you an opportunity to gain an understanding of the differing aquatic environments. It allows you to play your part in ensuring that no matter where or when you are in and around the water there is someone looking out for you.

This website is brought to you by the Victorian Government's 'Play it Safe by the Water ' campaign, which is actively working towards increasing community awareness of water safety.

2006/2007 Victorian Drowning Summary
Life Saving Victoria have just released the drowning figures for 2006/2007. The figures are at an all time low, with four fewer fatalities recorded in the 12 months to 30 June 2007 than at the same time last year.
